Pendant filled with Chalice Well Water and a little Herkimer Diamond

The water contained in this pendant comes from the ancient red spring that flows through the Gardens of the Chalice Well in Glastonbury. People have traveled to this sacred place for thousands of years seeking the healing essence that is held within the waters. The energy that emerges from this place is one of deep peace, healing and support.

This powerful glass bottle pendant measures approximately 1 and 1/8 inches. Suspended in the Chalice Well Water is a little 5mm Herkimer Diamond.

This combination is said to have spiritual healing properties. Wear it, or anoint yourself and objects with it.

A little bit of history

In addition to the legends associated with Glastonbury, the Chalice Well is often portrayed as a symbol of the female aspect of deity, with the male symbolized by Glastonbury Tor. As such, it is a popular destination for pilgrims in search of the divine feminine, including modern Pagans. The Well is however popular with all faiths and in 2001 became a World Peace Garden.

Glastonbury, a small town about 125 miles or 220 km west of London, is full of myth and legend. In ancient times, Glastonbury lay in a triangle with the enormous stone circles of Stonehenge and Avebury - between them they formed a world energy-point. Great circle lines go from Glastonbury to many sacred canters worldwide. Glastonbury has long been a pilgrimage place, attracting travelers from far and wide. It was a pilgrimage place in Druid times (2,000-2,500 years ago) and further back in Megalithic times, 4,000 years ago. A prominent site in town is the Glastonbury Tor (tor means rocky hill or peak). The Tor has many legends connected to it. One says that it was the location of King Arthur's stronghold. Another legend says that it is the home of the Faery King and that the top of the Tor was a place of fairy visions and magic.

Glastonbury is also believed to be the place known in Arthurian lore as the Isle of Avalon. According to the legend, Arthur, after being mortally wounded by Mordred, was taken by a sacred boat to Avalon. And it is in Avalon that Arthur awaits the day when Britain requires his services as the "once and future king".
